Brockwell Stars FC

Built by our girls. Backed by our community.

Brockwell Stars FC is a grassroots girls’ football club born from the ambition of young players and the support of their families. Based at Brockwell Park in South London, we give girls a team to call their own and the opportunity to grow through competitive football.

Founded by Coach Ciarán, the club builds on the foundations of Star Footballers, where girls learn new skills, build confidence and enjoy the game. It offers a clear pathway into competitive football, giving each player the chance to take that next step when she feels ready.

Where our story began

Brockwell Stars FC began on the pitches of Brockwell Park, where girls gathered each week through Star Footballers. What started as coaching sessions became something more. Friendships formed, confidence grew, and the girls developed a sense of belonging. They weren’t simply attending football sessions anymore; they were becoming a team.

As their ambitions grew, we arranged matches against local teams, giving our young Lionesses their first taste of competitive football. The girls embraced the challenge, proudly wearing white tops and choosing their own name: Brockwell Stars. For the first time, they had an identity they had created together and could proudly represent on the pitch.

But the story didn’t end there. The girls began asking for a football club, while parents expressed a desire for regular league football. We faced a choice: build on what we had achieved or risk losing the momentum and foundations already established. We had an opportunity to create something new for girls’ football at Brockwell Park, and we were determined to take it.

With the backing of our families and the leadership of Coach Ciarán, Brockwell Stars FC was born. Our group of enthusiastic lionesses became an official grassroots club competing in the Tandridge League. Today, the club represents far more than matchday results. It embodies the girls’ ambition, their families’ belief in them and a shared journey from weekly coaching sessions to competitive league football.

The people behind the badge

Brockwell Stars FC is proud to be sponsored by the Danny Sullivan Group, who share our passion for girls’ football and are fully committed to levelling the playing field, creating opportunities and helping the next generation of young female footballers thrive.

We’ve also been fortunate to receive tremendous support from Lambeth Parks Management, who have championed our development from the very beginning. Special thanks go to Lara Mifsud-Bonici and Rodney Craig for their encouragement and continued support.

Last, but certainly not least, are the incredible parents who stepped forward to help establish our Club Board and turn the ambition of Brockwell Stars FC into reality. Their commitment, enthusiasm and belief in what we’re building have been fundamental to the club’s success.
